FAITH – NOT DENIAL OR DETERMINATION

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal – 2 Corinthians 4:18

WHAT FAITH IS NOT

When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so GREAT FAITH, no, not in Israel – Luke 7:9

As we continue to explore the Frontiers of Faith, it is prime time to deal with “WHAT FAITH IS NOT” so that we can be firm on WHAT FAITH IS! It is hazardous to be vague on the matter of faith, a subject of such immense significance to our lives and destinies! It takes Faith to stand, walk, live, fight, overcome the world and taste the sweetness of Victory.

FAITH BRIDGE

Ah Lord GOD! Behold, Thou hast made the heaven and the earth by Thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee – Jeremiah 32:17

FAITH IS A MUST

But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God MUST BELIEVE that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him – Hebrews 11:6

FAITH – SUBSTANCE OF HOPE

DELIGHT thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the DESIRES of thine heart – Psalm 37:4

We are standing on Hebrews 11:1: “Now FAITH IS the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

FAITH is the SUBSTANCE of things hoped for…Faith is the Substance of Hope.

Faith + Things hoped for = Substance

FAITH is the EVIDENCE of THINGS not seen….Faith is the Evidence of Invisible REALITIES.

Faith + Things not seen = Evidence

THE FAITH-LIFE

Now the just shall LIVE BY FAITH: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him – Hebrews 10:38

God is a God of Faith. Faith is in the character and nature of God. Faith is God’s Lifestyle.

God lives faith. God walks faith. God speaks faith. Faith is the Lifestyle of He who calls the things that are not as though they were. Faith is the attitude of the Creator who saw darkness and declared Light, who sees death and declares Life!

THE REALITY OF FAITH

NOW FAITH IS assurance of things hoped for, a conviction of things not seen – Hebrews 11:1 (ASV)

Faith is a foundational subject in the Scriptures. It is one of the three fundamental Cornerstones of Christianity listed in 1 Corinthians 13:13 – “And now abideth FAITH, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.” Faith is one of the Pillars of the Triangle of Christianity. Faith is however more than a theological subject.

FAITH IS FOUNDATIONAL

And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that THY FAITH FAIL NOT: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren – Luke 22:31-32

FAITH is FIRST. Faith is FOUNDATIONAL. Faith is FUNDAMENTAL.

FAITH is FIRST. 2 Peter 1:5 says “…giving all diligence, ADD TO your FAITH.” You don’t add faith to anything; you add everything else to faith! Faith is the BASELINE for fulfilment of purpose in all dimensions of life and destiny.

FAITH IS...

Now faith is the SUBSTANCE of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen – Hebrews 11:1

FAITH is a FORCE, a spiritual, supernatural force. It is the living Force drawn from the living Word to produce living proofs. Faith is spiritually tangible. It is not an intellectual fact, a philosophical concept or a psychological feeling. Faith is a spiritual principle of life. Faith is a Law of the Spirit authenticated and validated by God’s Word, to which other levels of law bow!

Thou shalt arise, and have MERCY upon Zion: for the time to FAVOR her, yea the SET TIME , is come – Psa.102:13

Our Vision
