SETTLED IN GOD’S POWER

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee – Isaiah 26:3

REJOICE IN GOD’S POWER

The LORD reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores REJOICE – Psalm 97:1 (NIV)

TRUST IN GOD’S POWER

THE LORD REIGNS, He is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed in majesty and armed with strength; indeed, the world is established, firm and secure – Psalm 93:1 (NIV).

GOD’S POWER IN JUDGEMENT

The LORD is my Strength and Song, and He is become my Salvation: He is my God, and I will prepare Him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt Him. The LORD is a Man of War: the LORD is His Name – Exodus 15:2-3

GOD’S POWER IN PRESERVATION

The LORD shall PRESERVE thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore – Psalm 121:8

GOD’S POWER IN CREATION

Thus saith God the LORD, He that CREATED the heavens, and stretched them out; He that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; He that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein: – Isaiah 42: 5

GOD’S POWER AND PEOPLE

He giveth POWER to the FAINT; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength – Isaiah 40:29

Today, we deepen our meditation on the Bible’s distinctive perspectives on Power. Three points are worthy of note:

PERSPECTIVES TO POWER

For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His ETERNAL POWER and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: – Romans 1:20

In our earlier meditations, we examined the primacy and dimensions of power, and God’s Ultimate Possession of all Power. By this, we stand on a firmer ground to meditate on the MEANING of POWER – the Perspectives to Power. How is the term ‘Power’ used in general, in science, in politics and human relationships, and in the Bible?

POSSESSOR OF ALL POWER

And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the Most High God, the POSSESSOR of heaven and earth – Genesis 14:22

POWER DIMENSIONS

God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that POWER belongeth unto GOD – Psalm 62:11

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
