LIGHT LIBERATES

And the LIGHT SHINES in the darkness; and the darkness did not comprehend it – John 1:5

LIGHT LIBERATES. The LIGHT of God guarantees LIBERTY in LIFE. Light can never be boxed in from shining. Light will always find a way to shine, however thick, tangible or terrible the darkness may be. Light never flees from darkness; it always conquers darkness. Light never begs or struggles to shine. It simply pierces through and dominates the darkness. When the light is turned on, souls are liberated from the dark dungeons of addictions, bondages, ignorance, and depression. 

Light overcomes darkness. Light liberates from darkness. Light reveals the hidden works of darkness. Light exposes and expels evil. The darkness of evil cannot comprehend, understand or overcome the Light of God. Our heavenly Father – “the Father of Lights” – “has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of is love” (Jam.1:17; Col.1:13). Our Father-God has made us fit, equipped, and qualified us to be “PARTAKERS of the inheritance of the SAINTS in LIGHT”! (Col.1:12).

Praise God! We who believe in Jesus Christ are children of Light: “For you were once darkness, but now you are LIGHT in the LORD. WALK as CHILDREN of LIGHT” (Eph.5:8). 1 Thessalonians 5:5 also says, “You are all SONS of LIGHT and sons of the day. We are not of the night or of darkness.” We are therefore admonished to “cast off the works of darkness, and…put on the ARMOUR of LIGHT” (Rom.13:12). This also means that God’s Light is our Defence! We must however “have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them” (Eph.5:11).

Believers are like shining stars; while unbelievers are like black holes from which light never escapes. Beloved, God’s Word challenges you and I to “become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you SHINE as LIGHTS in the world” (Phil. 2:15). Ephesians 5:14 commands: “AWAKE, you who sleep, ARISE from the dead, and Christ will give you LIGHT”! Awake, Arise, Shine, and Walk in the Light!!
