THE RICHES OF WISDOM

Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding – Proverbs 3:13

God has provided for us out of the riches of His glorious, heavenly, unlimited resources; but we need to recognize the provisions. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ (Eph. 1:3).

Wisdom is primary among these resources: Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom… (Pro.4:7). Wisdom speaks of spiritual enlightenment or supernatural intelligence. The Psalmist prayed: Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy PATHS. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day (Psalm 25:4-5). Wisdom signifies the PATHS of God.

If there is one to thirst for, it should be divine wisdom. The prophet Isaiah counselled: Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? And your labour for that which satisfieth not? Hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.”

• Wisdom is Divine KNOW-HOW or the HOW-TOs of God. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD (Isa.55:8) Wisdom is laying hold on the higher ways of God. The WORD contains God’s HIGHER THOUGHTS which lead to His HIGHER WAYS. There is enough in the Word to fulfil your greatest dreams.

• Wisdom involves exploring God’s WAYS, approaches or strategies to issues of life. It is “knowing HOW” to make it in life. Wisdom is that faculty in God with which He answers questions and solves problems. It is locating God’s ways of doing things.

• Wisdom knows from God’s Word, which way to go and how to handle situations to make them produce desired results. It is the supernatural ability to bring SOLUTIONS to dark matters too difficult for the human mind.

• God thinks in terms of KEYS, PRINCIPLES and SKILLS. These are aspects of the many facets of God’s manifold Wisdom. God is extremely skillful and He delights in endowing us with same.
