Bible Meditation:
Psalm 63: 1-8

“O God, You are my God; early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You...” – Psalm 63:1a

The Scriptures consistently project the value of DIVINE INTIMACY for IMPACT: “O God, You are my God; early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water. So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory” (Psa.63:1-2). Divine Intimacy refers to a close, personal relationship and fellowship with God, which transcends merely knowing about God. It entails experiencing Him, talking and listening to Him – a deep and meaningful relationship with God that goes beyond mere knowledge of Him. Intimacy with God is built on love, trust, and a deep respect for our Creator.

Intimacy with God is not only desirable, but essential for a fulfilling life and impactful destiny. God wants His children to develop a closer and more intimate relationship with Him as the primary pedestal for impacting our world. Despite creating the entire Universe with amazing precision, design, and purpose, and being the Causal Agent outside of Space and Time, God is Personal. Developing intimacy with Him involves experiencing Him, talking to Him, listening to Him, and being validated by Him.

Experiencing God is vital to Divine Intimacy. This is not just about knowing God intellectually, but also embracing His Person, Presence and Power in our lives: O God, You are my God; early will I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You” (v.1a). God is a Spirit; knowing Him starts from the spirit, to fill the entire being: “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth” (Jh.4:24).

Talking to God is another key aspect of intimacy with Him: “Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You. Thus I will bless You while I live...” (vv.3-4a). Prayer is a vital part of our relationship with God, and it allows us to communicate our deepest thoughts and desires to Him. When we talk to God, we open our hearts to Him and allow Him to speak to us in return.

Waiting upon and listening to God is also crucial for Divine Intimacy. God speaks to us in many ways, including through His Word, the Holy Spirit, and through other people. When we listen to God, we can hear His voice and His guidance, and we learn to trust Him more fully.

Intimacy with God also involves being validated by Him. We were created by God, and He knows us better than anyone else. When we seek intimacy with Him, we come to understand our true identity as His children, and we find validation in who we are and why God created us.

As we deepen our relationship with God, we come to know Him more fully and it becomes less of a routine to find fulfilment and purpose.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
